The historic Holly Theatre in downtown Medford plans to reopen its doors Thursday after a $13 million fundraising campaign.

Portland city council voted on Thursday to renovate the earthquake vulnerable Keller Auditorium. And, city commissioners also approved building a new Broadway-ready theater on the Portland State University campus.

A sleepaway camp designed for and by Indigenous theater aficionados is being held at Portland State University July 29 through Aug. 2.

The mission of the Portland nonprofit, the Red Door Project, is to use "the power of narrative art to bridge divides." Its show "Evolve Experience" does that by presenting scenes and monologues based on the real life experiences of Black Americans, police officers and other people in the justice system.
