The Tri-Cities drew national attention when police in Pasco, Washington shot and killed a homeless man, Antonio Zambrano-Montes in February. Zambrano-Montes was throwing rocks in an intersection when police confronted him. Investigators of the incident said he did not have a gun or knife, and had high levels of methamphetamine in his system.

Area Hispanic groups called for a federal investigation, drawing parallels to high-profile police shootings such as the one in Ferguson, Missouri.

The Franklin County Prosecutor's office has been investigating the shooting, and last week they released numerous documents to the public, including some graphic cell-phone videos. It's been five months since the shooting, and OPB News reporter Anna King explains where the case now stands.
