OPB’s secondary channel, OPB PLUS, is now OPB WORLD. It’s a 24/7 multicast channel that showcases the best of public media with news, documentaries and stories that celebrate diverse cultures from around the world and highlight critical issues like education, healthcare, the environment and politics.
OPB WORLD can help those in our region examine and understand conflicts and movements, and the channel’s original series amplify the voices of those often ignored by mainstream media. Programs on OPB WORLD tell the personal stories behind the headlines.
OPB WORLD features favorite programs from science and environment to news, investigative journalism and independent films. It also features exclusive series like “America Reframed,” which brings to life compelling stories, personal voices and experiences that illuminate the contours of our ever-changing country; and “Doc World,” which showcases the best international documentaries and other additional series and newscasts.
