Warrant Issued For Right-Wing Brawler Tusitala 'Tiny' Toese

A judge issued a warrant Tuesday for right-wing brawler Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, court records show.

In the past, Toese has been affiliated with the Proud Boys, a fringe right-wing group that has engaged in fights with anti-fascists at Portland protests.

In 2017, Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, center, a known member of the militia style group, the Oath Keepers, was photographed tackling an Antifa protester before federal law enforcement officers detained the protester and arrested him.

In January, Toese pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from a June 8, 2018 incident that left a protester with "stitches and a concussion." Prosecutors dismissed a felony assault charge as part of Toese's plea deal.

On June 15, just months after that conviction, video surfaced on social media of what appeared to be Toese engaged in an fight outside Seattle's Capital Hill Organized Protest area, know as CHOP.

Court documents in the case are sealed, but the case file notes a report for a warrant request on June 18. The Willamette Week first reported the possibility of a warrant and probation violation for Toese.

Entries in Toese's case file made Tuesday note a "probation violation" and a "probation violation warrant."

As punishment for the 2018 attack, Toese was sentenced to two years of probation, 80 hours of community service and required to pay restitution to his victim, who had medical bills.

While on probation, Toese was prohibited from contacting the victim in his case and engaging in demonstrations or protests.

Jail records show Toese is not currently in custody in Multnomah County.
