Gov. Brown Declares State Of Emergency In 10 Oregon Counties

Gov. Kate Brown declared a state of emergency Thursday in 10 Oregon counties hit by severe winter weather.

Those counties are Coos, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lane, Linn and Marion.

The emergency declaration directs the Oregon Office of Emergency Management to coordinate with the Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon State Police and the Oregon National Guard to offer support to those counties as needed.

The state of emergency will be in effect for 30 days unless Brown ends it earlier.
