Sukhjot Sal joined OPB's digital content team in 2023 as a digital producer. In that role, she helps share content on OPB’s website and social platforms in clear, accessible and visually interesting ways.

A graduate of Oregon State University, Sukhjot holds an honors bachelor of arts in English and writing. She previously served as editor-in-chief of Beaver’s Digest, OSU’s lifestyle magazine, for which she received a national Pacemaker from the Associated Collegiate Press. For her work as a news reporter and copy editor for OSU’s Daily Barometer newspaper, Sukhjot won several regional and state awards in journalism.

After graduating, Sukhjot interned with The Bulletin in Bend through the AAJA-SPJ Emerging Northwest Journalists internship, and briefly freelanced with Eater Portland. In her work, Sukhjot enjoys uplifting local businesses and community members, focusing on the nitty-gritty of news writing and its craft to articulate the truth.
