Much of Oregon will see temperatures jump back into at least the high 90s on Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory through 11 p.m. along the Interstate 5 corridor, from about Longview, Washington, south to Eugene. High temperatures could reach 100 degrees.
In the Roseburg area, temps could reach 105 degrees. The heat advisory there is in effect through Friday evening. A heat advisory is also in place through Friday evening along the Columbia River Gorge and in Central Oregon.
Some areas of Eastern Oregon are under an excessive heat warning through Friday night, with temperatures up to 108 degrees.
People within the advisory areas are urged to limit outdoor activity and stay hydrated.
The expected high temperatures come after several days in July with extreme heat across the Pacific Northwest, which included a heat wave over the Fourth of July weekend. More than a dozen deaths statewide were suspected from that heat wave.
