In a statement, the Vancouver Police Department said its officers arrested Aiden Michael Murray after surveillance video captured him burglarizing a business located at 808 Harney St. in Vancouver. Both El Burrito Mojado and Sunrise Bagels are located at the address, though police did not specify which business Murray is accused of breaking into. Police said Murray was found inside one of the businesses and arrested there without incident.

Police also did not immediately clarify how Murray was linked to a fire that was started Monday night at McEnerny-Ogle’s home. According to the mayor, her husband, Terry Ogle, was on the phone when the phone line began acting up. When he went outside to inspect the line, he saw a man running away from a fire that had been near the home.

Ogle was able to extinguish the fire before calling police.

That incident followed a break-in at the McEnerny-Ogle home on Sunday; the mayor said someone broke her door and took notable items while leaving other valuables behind.

McEnerny-Ogle told OPB she was concerned she was being targeted because she is an elected official.

Jail records show Murray is being held Wednesday at the Clark County Jail on charges of first-degree arson, second-degree burglary, second-degree malicious theft and third-degree theft.
