A popular tourist destination in John Day is poised for a multi-million dollar expansion. Kam Wah Chung is a symbol of the rich history of Chinese immigrants in the region. Now a National Historical Landmark, the site was built in 1865, serving as a social, medical, and religious center for Oregon’s Chinese community for decades. We talk to reporter Justin Davis about the upcoming renovations.
