In early November, the Lane County Health Department reported that 35% of all outbreak-related cases in the county were attributed to the University of Oregon’s Greek system. Less than a week later, more than 200 students gathered at off-campus parties — many of whom were members of multiple Greek life chapters. We speak with Lane County senior public health officer Dr. Patrick Luedtke and Daily Emerald reporter Joanna Mann on the latest case numbers and happenings within the UO’s fraternities and sororities.
