Steve Stenkamp is a retired Bend firefighter, high school teacher, city councilor and mayor. Now, he’s taken on the task of chronicling the history of lost ski areas in Oregon. From Lava Butte to Crater Lake, Stenkamp has made it his mission to discover the forgotten slopes of the state.
