The Northwest chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives has been around for over 20 years, but they’ve been especially busy this year. The group has held a number of events for Black law enforcement officers to get together and share their feelings about doing the work of law enforcement in a summer of social justice reckoning. In addition, the group has organized trainings for members and for some local police departments. Derrick Peterson, the president of the local chapter of NOBLE, joins us to explain his organization’s work.
