Oregon Governor Kate Brown announced Monday that the state’s eviction moratorium — set to expire at the end of September — will now extend through December 31, 2020. Local jurisdictions and the federal government have also extended protections against evictions, but it’s unclear what happens when these protections eventually run out. We talk it over with Coya Crespin, Portland metro community organizer for the Community Alliance of Tenants, and Sage Coleman, president of the Oregon Rental Housing Association.
