Connie Kiener

Nov. 11, 2004 5 p.m.

Ceramics artist Connie Kiener is singlehandedly trying to keep an ancient style of painting on pottery alive here in the Northwest. Majolica is a style of low fire glazed ceramics known for the intricacy of its painted decorations. Connie studied in Italy to learn the style and puts her own Northwest twist on it.
