The No. 1 Oregon Ducks fell to the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes in a College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Wednesday.

Nyara Sabally was selected fifth overall by the New York Liberty, where she’ll join famous former teammate Sabrina Ionescu, a star player who helped lead the Oregon Ducks in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

Kennedy Brooks ran for 142 yards and three touchdowns as No. 14 Oklahoma rode a dominant first half to beat No. 15 Oregon 47-32 in the Alamo Bowl.

Oklahoma and Oregon will face off at the Alamo Bowl with interim coaches trying to steer the programs into a new start in 2022 when new head coaches take over.

Travis Dye rushed for a career-high 211 yards and one touchdown, Anthony Brown ran for one score and passed for another and No. 7 Oregon overcame a sluggish start to beat Washington 26-16.

Anthony Brown Jr. threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 7 Oregon amassed a season-high 568 total yards in a 52-29 victory over Colorado.

What the partnership with UO will exactly look like is still to be determined, but experts have both concerns and high hopes.
