Elliott State Forest

The decision makes Oregon the second state after Michigan to dedicate an entire state forest to storing harmful emissions while selling carbon credits for revenue.

A bill before the Oregon Legislature would set in motion a plan to create an Elliott State Research Forest that would preserve the oldest trees and protect vulnerable species while allowing some logging.
