- In 2015, a coalition of neighbors and community groups pooled their resources to purchase the building that once housed the Sugar Shack strip club. It was part of an effort to revitalize Portland's diverse Cully neighborhood. On Monday, the former Sugar Shack was finally demolished to make way for 140 units of affordable housing. Ernesto Fonseca joins us. He's the CEO of Hacienda Community Development Corporation, the organization behind the project.
