Portland Bureau Rebrand | Blue Mountains Forest Plan | 'The Child Finder'

• Portland's Office of Neighborhood Involvement is no more. It's now the Office of Community and Civic Life. The bureau says it wants to be more inclusive, but some people are concerned about a shift away from a focus on neighborhood associations. What exactly has changed? We'll find out from Office of Community and Civic Life director Suk Rhee.

• The U.S. Forest Service has been working on a plan for how to manage nearly 5.5 million acres of public forestland in Eastern Oregon for more than 15 years. The public now has until tomorrow to submit objections to the final draft. The plan outlines priorities for logging, conservation, road access, and ranching within the Wallowa-Whitman, Umatilla, and Malheur National Forests. George Plaven has been covering the Blue Mountains Forest Plan for the Capital Press.

• Portland author and private investigator Rene Denfeld's novel, "The Child Finder," has just come out in paperback. We'll listen back to an interview about the book, which tells the story of a private investigator specializing in missing children who was missing once herself.
