‘Oregon Art Beat’ and ‘Oregon Field Guide’ return October 6 with a new episode schedule

New episodes of OPB’s long running original series “Oregon Art Beat” and “Oregon Field Guide” are returning to OPB TV this fall beginning October 6. All-new episodes of both programs will air on the first Thursday of every month. New “Art Beat” episodes will air through the month of May and new “Field Guide” episodes will air through July.

OPB is focusing our resources and efforts on providing our audiences with expanded, more seamless access to “Art Beat” and “Field Guide” content beyond television.

We’ve elevated our storytelling to reach audiences in a variety of ways – on opb.org, on OPB Radio, in digital media such as podcasts and e-newsletters and on social media like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Full episodes, segments and behind-the-scenes videos are also available on the PBS Video app, at watch.opb.org and on OPB’s YouTube channel.

Altering our premiere schedule provides our intrepid team of producers, reporters and videographers the opportunity to reach our audiences in new and different ways with the important arts, culture, science, environment and outdoor recreation stories from our region that you love.
