Sanders campaigned hard in Oregon, including appearances in front of large crowds in Portland, Eugene and just over the state line in Vancouver. This weekend, he made a series of calls to media outlets urging his supporters — he termed them “non-traditional voters” in an interview with OPB — to return their ballots.

High turnout boosted Sanders’ campaign, just as it helped Barack Obama beat Clinton in the 2008 Oregon Democratic primary.
