The teenage son of former Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber was arrested by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
Officers booked Logan Kitzhaber, 19, into the Multnomah County Jail around 1 p.m..
Logan Kitzhaber was injured in a traffic crash along the Oregon Coast in July.
At the time, state police said Kitzhaber was driving a Toyota Prius that sideswiped a motorhome after crossing the center line on Highway 101 near Lincoln City.
Toxicology reports from that incident have been pending for months. At the time of the indecent, Kitzhaber had told a paramedic he had consumed alcohol before leaving Lincoln City.
Kitzhaber was airlifted to the hospital from the crash site for his injuries. A Washington couple driving a motor home received non-life threatening injuries from the crash.
The Portland Tribune reports Kitzhaber was charged with third- and fourth-degree assault, DUII, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief
Kitzhaber was held at Multnomah County on $150,000 bail, before his bond was paid and he was released.
