Another round of cold weather is coming this weekend as temperatures are expected to dip below 30 degrees Fahrenheit across much of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.

As a result, several shelters around the Portland-Vancouver metro area will open their doors to anyone seeking relief from the cold.

As of Friday morning, Multnomah County officials said the forecast weather did not meet its severe weather criteria for opening additional warming shelters.

The county does have several year-round and winter shelters that will remain open this weekend. Information on those can be found the county’s website, which will also provide up-to-date information should conditions change.

Anyone who needs information on where to find shelters or resources can call 211 or visit 211-info.org.
