Additional officers were called in. They found the man walking nearby and say he refused their commands to stop. A K-9 was sent toward the man, and that’s when officers say the man pointed a gun at them.

Four officers shot the man. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The K-9 was shot in the tail and sent for emergency surgery. No other officers were injured.
