The Portland Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter officials made the announcement on Tuesday. The new rules go into effect immediately after the final day of Oregon’s statewide indoor mask mandate, Friday, March 11.

The Trail Blazers will host the Washington Wizards Saturday night at the Moda Center. In minor-league hockey, the Portland Winterhawks host the Vancouver Giants at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum.

The Oregon Health Authority still recommends masking for those at high risk. Officials also continue to recommend vaccination to greatly reduce the risk of severe COVID-19 illness.

The Rose Quarter says some performers and event organizers may still have COVID policies in place for ticketholders. Check your tickets or RoseQuarter.com for details.
