Ducks headed to Alamo Bowl, Beavers to LA Bowl

Oregon has accepted an invitation to play in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29, at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Ducks will take on Oklahoma at 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN.

Meanwhile, the Oregon State Beavers are headed to Southern California to play Utah State in the LA Bowl. That game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. PT on Dec. 18, and will be televised on ABC.

The Ducks are 10-3 overall and 7-2 in conference play following Friday night’s loss to Utah in the Pac-12 championship game.

Oregon came in at No. 14 in the final College Football Playoff rankings released on Sunday, two spots ahead of No. 16 Oklahoma.

Oregon’s bowl game confirmation comes amid speculation that head football coach Mario Cristobal is weighing an offer to coach at the University of Miami in Florida.

The Beavers finished the regular season at 7-5 overall and 5-4 in conference play. Utah State won the Mountain West Conference and finished with an overall record of 10-3.
