Multimedia project examines the experiences of young Black men

A new multimedia project tells the stories of young Black men in the Pacific Northwest from their perspectives. “I Got a Story to Tell” launched this month by the community organization Word is Bond. We hear from Lakayana Drury, the founder of Word is Bond, and Ristom Habtemariam, a community ambassador with the group. Habtemariam is also featured in the project.

Oregon US Attorney Billy Williams resigns

Billy Williams has served as Oregon’s top federal law enforcement officer since 2015, but has been asked by the Biden administration to step down at the end of this month. We’ll talk to Williams about his tenure as Oregon’s U.S. Attorney, including his role prosecuting protesters in Portland this summer and his pledge to charge Oregonians who took part in last month’s insurrection.
