†††(Crosses) is the musical side project of Deftones singer and longtime Bend, Oregon resident Chino Moreno, Far guitarist Shaun Lopez and bassist Chuck Doom. They’ve reconvened after a six-year hiatus to gift us with a cover of the early ’90s electropop group Cause & Effect’s song “The Beginning of the End.” The trio execute this track with a deft attention to the sounds of that era’s dark, melodic, synth-driven tone. The result is a song that rivals anything from the top new wave bands of that time.

BENEE featuring Kenny Beats and Bakar - “Night Garden”

Producer Kenny Beats (Kenny Blume) and British singer/songwriter Bakar have teamed with the young Australian singer BENEE on this new single “Night Garden.” This track is full of a confident swagger that seems to effortlessly flow out of these performers in the form of exquisitely laidback vocal deliveries. One of the final gifts left by the late, legendary rapper, songwriter, and producer Daniel Dumile— known to all as MF DOOM—is a collaboration with the instrumental group BADBADNOTGOOD. This song is featured on the online expansion of the video game Grand Theft Auto “Cayo Perica Heist.” BADBADNOTGOOD creates the atmosphere with an energetic groove which is then taken to another level as jazzy guitar and keyboard riffs alternate dazzling displays of impromptu sounding musical mastery.
