Crater Lake, Oregon's only national park, in 2016.
Mark Schuster / U.S. Department of the Interior
Tourists have been flocking to Crater Lake National Park in the past few months. With reduced staffing due to coronavirus, the park is struggling to keep visitors following important safety and environmental rules. Park Superintendent Craig Ackerman says visitors are climbing down the caldera and dragging prohibited boats and flotation devices into the lake. He says this can introduce invasive species into the water. We hear from Ackerman about how the park is doing, and what you should know if you plan to visit.
