The increase of COVID-19 cases throughout the state and a limited number of ICU beds has forced the St. Charles hospital in Bend to prepare contingency plans. We hear from St. Charles Chief Physician Executive Dr. Jeff Absalon about how things are going, and what he’s learned since the start of the pandemic.

Morrow County hopes to avoid going back to baseline

Morrow County in Eastern Oregon currently has the highest amount of COVID-19 cases per capita and the highest percentage of positive tests in the state. At the end of July, Morrow County rolled back its reopening to Phase 1. County officials are hoping to avoid going back to "baseline", or another shutdown.
