Hiphop at Northwest Academy
Kids appreciate the arts just like their parents, though usually not the same art. At the prompting of students, Portland's Northwest Academy is teaching innovative after-school classes on the culture, language, music and dance of hiphop. They also recruited local rapper Mic Crenshaw to teach a class.
